New School Text Message System

If you are unable to download School Dojo, we now have a messaging service that is text-based. It is important that you are able to receive information about events or emergencies at the school. This system will make that easier. Administration will send out messages as needed. This is not to replace Class Dojo, but to offer more ways of communicating with parents. Your child will receive information from their homeroom teacher, or you can view the information below for instructions in English and Spanish!

A Message from Our Principal

Greetings Santa Maria Community,

It is with great joy and pride that I write this message to you as the principal of Santa Maria Middle School. Welcome to a new school year! I am excited and honored to serve and rejoin the Santa Maria community.

At Santa Maria, we believe it is essential to build partnerships and positive relationships with our students, parents, community members, and all stakeholders. I believe every child can learn, and every child can achieve their goals. All children are capable of success, no exceptions! Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to helping our scholars thrive academically and explore their strengths and talents.

Attendance is a crucial part of student success. As a parent/guardian, it is critical for you to ensure your child is in school and ready to learn each day. We are committed to assist our parents and families in any way possible. As we move into the 2023–2024 school year, I would love to see our parents and families become involved in our school. I encourage you to volunteer in our PTO, attend academic nights, and participate in other school functions.

I look forward to working with our teachers, staff, students, families, and community. I am eager to create new memories at Santa Maria Middle School and continue community traditions. I am lucky and honored to be a Bulldog once again. Please do not hesitate to contact me, I am here to serve you! Thank you so much for choosing us as your school. Go Bulldogs!

Sincerely,

Amelia Sanchez
