Welcome Back, Bulldogs! 2021–2022

Welcome Back, Bulldogs!

Our Santa Maria Middle School faculty feels elated to have you back at school. We have been looking forward to your return! The classrooms and hallways will look close to how they did before the pandemic. It just isn't the same without you here. We can't wait to see you. The links and documents below will give you and your parents important information about our procedures, all of which we designed to keep you safe and healthy while at school. When we release new information, we will pass it along as soon as possible. Again, we are very excited you are coming back, and we hope you are too!

Check Your Grades

We send progress reports home every Friday. They are also available online through Parent Portal! Parent Portal is a secure website and mobile app offered by the Fowler School District which provides parents access to essential academic and classroom information about your child. You may access the weekly progress reports through your students Clever account (students know how to access their accounts) or by following the Parent Portal link below.

If you still need help to set up your account, please contact the Santa Maria Middle School office at (623) 707-1100.

We encourage you to log on regularly to Parent Portal to stay informed about your student's progress.

Please reach out to the individual teachers if you have questions about your student's progress report.

A Message from Our Principal

Hello, Bulldog Community!

I hope you and your families are doing well. We are glad that students are back in school with their friends and learning in person with their favorite teachers. Please know that even in person, teachers and administrators are working very hard to keep students safe while not compromising student learning. We believe we have done the best we can do with the situation as it is.

I know that some of you may have been profoundly affected by this epidemic. I am truly sorry for any losses or hardships you have experienced. Oftentimes, the only choice that we have is the attitude we begin each day with. All of us need to remember that each day we can choose to view our situation through light and positivity or through darkness and fear. That choice is always in our control. We must remind ourselves that this too shall pass. There is an abundance of grace, resiliency, and courage that lies in the hearts and minds of all us. Please, be assured that we are here for you. For now, let us all strive every day to do the very best that we can.

Your Santa Maria Middle School Principal,

Desiree Castillo
